Matthew Dahlkemper was born and raised in Chicago, but his culinary career has brought him around the world and back: at current count, he has visited 47 countries. His passion for food ignited in his hometown on the line at Hotel Sofitel but quickly sent him to Las Vegas where he worked on the line at Trump Las Vegas & Michelin-rated Alize in the Palms. In 2010, Matt had the opportunity to become the lead butcher for the opening of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, servicing 14 restaurants, In Room Dining & Banquets. After Las Vegas, Matt headed east to Miami, FL, and became the opening Executive Sous Chef for The James Hotel Miami, and was recognized as their Manager of the Year in 2013. From Miami, Matt made his way to Tampa, FL and was named the opening Executive Sous Chef for Michael Mina's Locale Market. In 2016, Matt was on the move again this time internationally landing as the opening Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Dubai where he oversaw all culinary operations for the hotel.
Today, Matt has settled in NYC and has joined the Crafted Hospitality family as the Executive Chef of Temple Court. When not in the kitchen, Matt can be found continuing his pursuit of mixed martial arts, fishing or open fire grilling.
